Voluntarily insured

Anyone compulsorily insured, employee or independent worker ceases to work has the right to request to continue the insurance on a voluntary basis. To be eligible, however, to make voluntary contributions will must have real insurance equal to at least one insurance unit, that has actual insurable earnings equal to the amount of annual basic insurable earnings.

Right to voluntary insurance has any person is ordinarily resident in Cyprus and working outside Cyprus to Cypriot employer in the territory of a third country, even if previously was insured for work in Cyprus.
The amount of annual basic insurable earnings increases every year.
